I plan to reconstruct this greenhouse within the gallery environment. I will apply acetate scans to the structure by means of bull clips, steel hooks, tape and adhesive labels. By mounting these scans upon backlit glass, they will be illuminated and semi-translucent. The frame of the greenhouse works to frame all that is held within it.
The acetate scans depict moments of inorganic arrangement and imposed structure to natural and artificial elements.
I intend to retain a large amount of the plant matter that is growing on/within the greenhouse when it sits in it’s new position. To ensure continued survival, I will install low hanging UV strip lighting above the structure.
Using artificial bulbs to directly mimic sunlight, will further highlight the intensively controlled and uncomfortable manner of growing plant life within such fabricated conditions.
Various found objects, such as semi-precious stones and ceramic pieces which I have collected, will be ordered within or attached to the greenhouse frame.
